Toys R Us has opened a new store at Ellenton Premium Outlets, bringing the familiar toy retailer back to the area just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The store is located at 5461 Factory Shops Boulevard in Ellenton and is among the shopping center’s newly opened retailers, according to Simon, the company that operates Ellenton Premium Outlets.
The new location offers families and gift shoppers a dedicated destination for toys, games, collectibles and gifts. The opening is part of a nationwide expansion of Toys R Us standalone stores in partnership with Go! Retail Group.
In September, Toys R Us announced plans to open 120 additional standalone stores across the United States, bringing its total to approximately 160 locations by the 2026 holiday season. The expansion complements the brand’s existing retail presence inside Macy’s stores.
The company’s national merchandise lineup includes popular brands such as LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels and Pokémon, along with toys and collectibles featuring current entertainment properties. Specific merchandise availability at the Ellenton location may vary.
Ellenton Premium Outlets operates during regular shopping hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Individual store hours may differ, particularly during the holiday season.
Shoppers can contact Ellenton Premium Outlets at 941-723-1150 for additional information.
The opening provides Manatee and Sarasota County residents with another local shopping option as families prepare for the holidays. It also marks the return of a recognizable toy-shopping name for generations of customers who grew up visiting Toys R Us stores.
