Turning Points will bring more than 50 community agencies together this fall for the 28th Annual Manatee County Stand Down, a free event designed to connect veterans, individuals and families with essential services and community resources.
The 2026 Stand Down will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1303 17th Street West in Palmetto. The last entry for services will be at 11:15 a.m.
Everyone in the community is invited to attend at no cost.
The annual event provides an opportunity for residents to access numerous services in one location. Participating organizations will offer veteran services, medical care, dental and eye services, family support programs, employment resources through a career fair and other assistance.
The event will also include food, live music and family activities.
A Veterans Amnesty Court will again be part of Stand Down, helping eligible veterans address legal and financial barriers. According to Turning Points, the program has helped dismiss more than $100,000 in fines for local veterans.
Free shuttle transportation to the Manatee County Fairgrounds will be available from the Downtown Bradenton Transit Station, 1301 Sixth Ave. W. in Bradenton.
Volunteers and Sponsors Needed
Turning Points is also seeking community members and organizations to help make the event possible.

Businesses, organizations and individuals can also support Stand Down through sponsorships. Sponsorship funding helps provide resources and services while allowing the event to remain free for attendees. Customized sponsorship partnerships are available. Personal donations between $5 and $500 may also be eligible for matching funds through the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust, potentially doubling contributions made to support Turning Points and its programs.
The Stand Down is intended to strengthen connections between residents and organizations that can help address challenges involving health care, employment, family needs, veteran services and other barriers to stability.
