Turning Points Receives $270,000 Grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to Support the Project Smile Dental Program for Uninsured Residents
Bradenton, FL — Turning Points is proud to announce it has received a generous $270,000 grant from the
Bishop-Parker Foundation to support its Project Smile program, which provides essential dental care to
uninsured individuals in Manatee County.
This significant funding will expand Turning Points’ ability to deliver critical dental services, including dentures,
at no cost to those who meet income eligibility guidelines, are between 18 and 64 years old, and are uninsured.
Access to dental care not only improves oral health but also plays a vital role in enhancing overall well-being
and quality of life.
“This grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation will allow us to continue delivering life-changing dental
treatments to uninsured individuals in Manatee County and help improve their confidence and overall health,”
said Kathleen Cramer, Executive Director of Turning Points. “Many of the community members we serve feel
unable to interact with others or maintain employment due to the condition of their teeth. In some cases,
untreated dental infections become serious health risks. This funding ensures we can continue providing care
that is truly transformative.”
Turning Points has helped thousands of community members regain their smiles, rebuild self-esteem, and
address serious oral health conditions. Thanks to the Bishop-Parker Foundation’s support, Turning Points will
continue offering compassionate, comprehensive dental care at no cost to those who need it most.
