Two Arrested in Deadly Bradenton Riverwalk Shooting; Victim Identified
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning at Rossi Park on the Bradenton Riverwalk.
The Bradenton Police Department reported that the incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m., resulting in gunshot wounds to three individuals. All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where one of them later died from their injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Wilfredo Allende.
Authorities arrested two individuals later that same afternoon. The suspects, identified as Frederick Kelly, 18, and Jon’ques Jones, 17, are facing charges related to the shooting. Both have been charged with second-degree murder. Jones, who was also one of the gunshot victims, faces an additional charge of aggravated battery with a firearm. Investigators determined that Jones had been shot in self-defense by another person during the incident.
The third victim remains hospitalized but is reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
