Two Scenic Races Remain in 2025 Run Manatee 5K Series
Manatee County runners still have two exciting opportunities to lace up and hit the trails in the 2025 Run Manatee 5K Series. After a successful kickoff at Tom Bennett Park, the popular community race series continues with summer and fall events, offering unique experiences in some of the region’s most scenic spots.
Next is the Coquina Beach 5K on July 12, located at 1495 Gulf Drive South in Bradenton Beach. Hosted along the shady asphalt trail beneath sea grape trees and swaying palms, this beachfront course offers a refreshing gulf breeze and sunset views. The event, presented by Run With Purpose Nutrition, will feature a dynamic pre-race warmup led by Ray Gardner of Prosper Bradenton and a yoga cooldown at dusk with Rachael Croll of Salty Buddha.
The series' final installment occurs on November 22 at Rye Preserve, 905 Rye Wilderness Trail in Parrish. This 5K allows participants to explore a slice of old Florida through a variety of ecosystems, including oak hammocks, sand pine scrub, and xeric oak scrub. Runners may even spot native wildlife such as gopher tortoises or the elusive Florida scrub jay. Graham Anderson of Anchor Fitness & Performance will lead the warm-up, and Operation Warrior Resolution will guide the cooldown yoga session.
Each 5K is open to runners and walkers of all fitness levels. Participants can register online through the Run Manatee website or at the event. With a focus on community, wellness, and nature, the Run Manatee 5K Series continues to grow as a must-do local tradition.
