United Way Suncoast Announces 34th Annual Week of Caring
Week of service, presented by USAA, runs April 20-25
United Way Suncoast will celebrate Global Volunteer Month with its 34th Annual Week of Caring, presented by USAA, from Monday, April 20 through Saturday, April 25. The annual event connects corporate teams, civic groups, and individual volunteers with service projects across the region.
Week of Caring brings nonprofit partners together with volunteers ready to serve through projects tied to United Way Suncoast’s focus areas of educational opportunity, financial security and community resiliency.
USAA’s involvement marks the first time United Way Suncoast has had a sponsor for Week of Caring. The relationship reflects USAA’s commitment to strengthening the local communities it serves. The sponsorship also aligns with the company’s culture of service. Nationwide, USAA employees log more than 267,000 volunteer hours.
Throughout Week of Caring, nearly 40 volunteer opportunities are scheduled. Some of the most visual projects include:
April 20, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

About United Way Suncoast
United Way Suncoast mobilizes communities to action so all can thrive. We give families and community members across our five-county footprint the “Freedom To Rise.” Founded in 1924, we enter our second century of service with a decided focus on uniting the region to generate support for hard-working families that stand one unexpected expense away from dire circumstance. Along the way, we lead, convene and collaborate with corporate supporters, individual donors, nonprofit partners and valued volunteers because we know – United We Rise, United We Win.
