Upper Manatee River Road Expansion Underway as Part of Big 6 Projects

The Upper Manatee River Road Expansion Project, the first of the Big 6 infrastructure projects in Manatee County, is now in full swing. Launched last month, the project involves clearing the right-of-way along the northbound lane and constructing a temporary road. As part of this, a shift in traffic patterns will occur between 10th Avenue E and 2nd Avenue E.

Additionally, a force main is being installed along the west side of Upper Manatee River Road, stretching from 10th Avenue East to 3rd Avenue NE. This phase of construction is expected to continue through late 2024 or early 2025.
