A local Veteran Connections event will bring Southwest Florida veterans and supporters together for an evening of food, recreation and fundraising while helping provide care packages to deployed U.S. service members.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at a private three-acre waterfront property in Bradenton. The exact location will be provided directly to invited veterans and their families.
Activities will include a cookout, music, karaoke, fishing, complimentary kayaks, a swimming pool, pickleball and a raffle. Fishing poles will also be provided.
Organizers are requesting a suggested $5 donation, with funds being matched to help provide care packages for service members deployed overseas.
The gathering is designed to offer local veterans an opportunity to connect while supporting military members serving away from home.
