Volunteers and Sponsors Sought for Earth Day Manatee Events in Bradenton and Palmetto
Bradenton and Palmetto are preparing for a large-scale community celebration as Keep Manatee Beautiful calls for volunteers and sponsors to support Earth Day Manatee on April 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will take place simultaneously in both cities and is part of a broader effort to celebrate Earth Day alongside America 250. Organizers are planning a variety of hands-on projects aimed at enhancing the local environment, including tree plantings, flower installations, litter cleanups, and other beautification initiatives across Bradenton and Palmetto.
Earth Day Manatee is being organized in partnership with Keep Florida Beautiful, the City of Bradenton, the City of Palmetto, and Manatee County Government. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Those planning to attend are advised to pre-register in advance and come prepared with closed-toe shoes, a reusable water bottle, and appropriate attire for outdoor planting and cleanup activities.
Organizers are also inviting local businesses, organizations, and community groups to participate as sponsors, offering an opportunity to directly support efforts that enhance the beauty and sustainability of Manatee County.
