Workshop to Address Manatee County’s Climate Resilience and Vulnerability
Manatee County residents interested in strengthening community resilience are invited to attend an informational workshop on Thursday, February 27, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at the UF/IFAS Extension Office in Palmetto and will focus on local climate adaptation efforts and risk assessments.
The county’s Natural Resources team will present an overview of the Manatee County Vulnerability Assessment & Adaptation Plan, as well as details on the Resilient Florida Program. The session will also cover critical asset inventory findings and preliminary results from exposure and sensitivity analyses.
Community members will have the opportunity to provide feedback on key focus areas, potential risks, and strategies to enhance the county’s resilience against environmental challenges. No registration is required for the event, and residents are encouraged to participate in shaping future adaptation plans.
