MANATEE COUNTY, FL (February 3, 2025) – Building on the success of the Adopt-a-Spot program, Manatee County has once again joined forces with local residents to enhance public spaces—this time at the roundabout at 38th Avenue East and 30th Street East in Bradenton.
Bradenton Riverwalk to Undergo Nightly Pressure Washing February 4-7
The City of Bradenton has scheduled a comprehensive pressure washing of the popular Riverwalk, set to begin Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The project is expected to span four nights, with crews working from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. to minimize disruptions to daytime visitors.
Third Suspect Charged in Palmetto Nature Preserve Homicide Case
A third suspect has been charged in connection with the murder of a man found dead in the trunk of a car at a Palmetto nature preserve in August. Jenny Garcia, 27, is accused of assisting her boyfriend, Freddy Sandoval, in covering up the murder of Manuel Escobar, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K to Support Special Olympics Florida in Manatee County
Manatee County residents are invited to participate in the 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K, an event dedicated to supporting Special Olympics Florida. The torch will arrive in the county on Saturday, April 5, 2025, with the race kicking off at 8 AM along the scenic downtown Bradenton Riverwalk.
