I am not sure what the ‘average’ American thinks except, it is obvious that the ‘average’ American just doesn’t give a shit about what the rest of the world thinks or does.

I’m not joking. Once you get off that plane, by the way this is true also in Australia trust me, you don’t want to think about the rest of the world. When I lived in Perth, I would often ask expat Brits how was it going back in the UK? Every single one said a version of; I don’t know, I don’t care, I am here, I have no interest and they have no interest in me or what I am doing.

Of course Perth is the most isolated major city in the world, but in general isolationism is a luxury of rich countries who are not under threat.

The USA has for it’s entire history and I mean back to the founding fathers always had the attitude of AMERICA FIRST and Don’t Tread On me and the rest of that isolationist nonsense.

Now however the Empire is Striking Back and it is the entirety of the world against Trump and MAGA and yes you too fellow Americans.

In the past few days it is unmistakeble:

MERCOSUR nations signed the largest ‘free trade’ deal in history and very few on Quora will even know what the hell it is. The EU (27 nations) + MERCOSUR (Brazil, + Argentina - Trump’s bestie by the way and 3 others) signed a free trade deal that had been pending for 25 years. Repeat 25 years they couldn’t get it done and Trump pushed it over the line.

Carney of Canada signed a deal for GRIPPEN jets with Sweden to replace US jets as Canada moves decisively to cut ties with the USA.

Not only that; Carney visited China, the 1st Canadian PM to visit China in 8 years. While there he signed a make the EV’s in Canada deal to cut ties with US gas guzzlers and move to sustainable sources of energy. Even though Canada has the #3 reserves in the world.

Greenland, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen and others all demonstrated against Trump’s threat to take Greenland in the 10s of thousands.

The Greenland people are putting forth a specific initiative to block Americans from taking over and the NATO countries have sent in some limited troops to stop a potential American invasion.

Needless to say Asia is moving on; Japan and the PI signed a defence pact just 2 days ago. Korea is expected to join it as the US focuses on the Trump/Monroe Doctrine of running away to ‘spheres of influence’ when the US was a tiny spec in 1820. Can you believe that and back to the future?

Yes let us not forget that control by the US of South/Central/Caribbean America means nothing as trade is now tariffed up and people have to eat and they will do it with anyone other than Trump and the USA. So they will sign trade deals with Europe, China of course and even Australia to avoid US tariffs.

Europe of course is still running way behind with the USA dominating NATO and Trump allying himself with Putin and Russia for Putin’s Euro sphere of influence.

Let me conclude this by saying no, the Americans don’t know and don’t care who runs the world. As long as they have stable gas prices, the cost of groceries don’t go up to much and Trump can lie about healthcare it’s good enough for them.

Don’t believe me? Ask those on the streets. Not the protesters, rather the ones drinking and partying and watching NFL playoffs which is the vast majority.

Quorans by and large are almost all more educated and concerned about the US and it’s position than the average American. And if your ‘average’ American is concerned they are in general doing nothing about it as they feel they are under assault by Trump and guess what? They are.
