15-Year-Old Identified as Victim in Bradenton Homicide
Bradenton police have identified the victim of an overnight shooting on 11th Avenue East as 15-year-old Kayvon Dunbar. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at 11:28 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of 11th Avenue East and found Dunbar outside a home with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate first aid, he later died at the hospital early Tuesday morning.

Manatee County Beaches Add Lightning Detection Systems to Protect Visitors
Beachgoers in Manatee County now have an added layer of safety as new lightning detection systems are being installed at two of the area’s most popular destinations.
